Ask and you shall receive!

If you feel there is something you'd like to have the might help improve your life or the life of another, ask. You may ask God, the Universe, or your higher self, whichever feels more comfortable to you. When you ask, there are certain things you can do to make yourself more receptive to getting the desired answer you seek.

First you want to consider what it is you are asking. If what you are asking for is something that will only add to your life or to the life of another in a positive way, I encourage you to go ahead and ask. There is no reason for you to consider whether you are worthy of anything good. You are!

In doing so, you are not expressing weakness, but connectedness. Thoughts, energy, life are all meant to flow. Asking and offering, giving and receiving are the means in which things flow. It is all natural and it is all good.

Second you want to be sure you are asking with a mindset of gratitude. Many times people ask for help in a desperate way. You may feel you are in a desperate situation and are grasping at straws. This is a common predicament for those who are not accustomed to asking. They wait until their circumstances are critical and they feel there is no other option.

This desperate energy has a power to it, but it may not be the kind of power you want to express in asking. A desperate or futile energy will only repel what it is you are seeking to gain. If you are genuinely feeling desperate, I suggest you first clear this energy from your mind BEFORE asking for anything.

You can use gratitude that you feel for other things to accomplish this. Focus on anything for which you may feel gratitude. Do you have your health? Do you have a family? Do you have a job? Do you have food to eat? Obviously if you are reading this, you've got plenty that you can feel grateful about.

This is where you begin. In feeling and expressing gratitude, your energy will automatically shift to a more positive nature. A more positive energy will better connect you with the universal good, God, or your higher self.

Once you find yourself in a genuine state of gratitude, begin your request by giving thanks for all the abundance of good that you already have. Make your request and express how your receiving this request will enhance the quality of your life or the life of another.

Express your belief and confidence that it is possible that you will receive this blessing. Do this by giving thanks for it even before you have seen evidence of it. Pay attention to the feelings you are experiencing as you carry on this dialog. You should be feeling comforted. If you are still feeling negative in any way, focus more on love and gratitude before placing your request.

When you feel comfort in asking for your desire, you can know your request has been received and it will only be a matter of time before you will, in fact, see evidence of it. This is a given so long as you maintain your image of having it in your mind. Focus on the wonderful feelings your desired thing brings to you, and experience those feelings.

Remain open to any intuitive push you may sense to do your part. It is through your own action that you will finally receive what you asked for. Understand what you ask for may not come in the final package. You will get whatever it is you need in the way of resources, ideas, or connections that you may use to get your desired result through action.

I want YOU to succeed!!

Where Your Attention Goes Your Energy Flows

Pay attention to your thoughts! "What you think about you bring about." I believe it was John Demartini that said that. And it is so true. Where you are focused you are sending energy that must return in kind to your life. It is for this reason that so many have lives they themselves describe as less than desirable.

Listen to the conversations of others and you will hear exactly what I mean. "Did you hear about so and so?" "You think that's bad. You should listen to this!" And so on it goes. Sometimes I think there must be a competition going on. Who's got it the worst in life.

There was a time that even I played part in this cruel game. That was a very long time ago. And my, how my life has since changed! I will go far out of my way to avoid being in earshot of negative talk. Most commonly I would hear this sort of talk during break time at work. Think about it. Go ahead and try this tomorrow; go to work and do not get involved in the conversations you hear during break. Just listen and you will be shocked at just how common this is.

The reason is because we are for the most part unconscious to our trivial conversations throughout our day. Not any more! Pay attention to your own thoughts, and pay attention to the feelings behind the words of others around you. Try to shift the conversation to something more positive if you can, or remove yourself from the vicinity. If you take this advice to heart, you will be glad you did.

You don't have to even be taking part in the conversation. Your mind loves to pick up on the energy of what others are talking about, and your mind will carry on with this negative energy even though you are not "with" them. You have been trained or conditioned in this way for most of your life. It's time to begin reprogramming your mind to focus on what YOU want it to focus on.

You might begin with focusing on gratitude. Feel gratitude for the fact that you are now beginning to take control of your mind by directing your thoughts. You are not allowing the whims of Other People's Programming (OPP) to hijack your energy.

Look for things that are pleasing to your senses. When you think of the past, be sure you are thinking of the times that you enjoyed, that you excelled, that you triumphed. When you consider the future, consider the very best possible outcome. It's possible! When you think about other people, try to see only the good.

When you do notice things that are not to your liking, do not remain there in thought, replaying a terrible scene over and over again in your mind, as we so often tend to do. Reprogram your mind. How? Begin by not condemning it. Simply recognize it as something you don't like and let it go at that. Shift your awareness to something else.

Make this a game. Learn to enjoy the back and forth you will surely experience until you get your mind better trained at looking for the good in your life. Make it a game to have fun with it now, because you may not see much change in your life until this changed view becomes the predominant way you view things.

When it does become your predominant way of viewing the world, you will see and experience some amazing things. Your whole life will evolve from the simple act of redirecting the energy of your thoughts, your focus, your attention.

Give this a try for a month and see for yourself. If you are thinking something like "a whole month?" Hey, how badly do you want to see real change in your life. This is only a mental exercise. It's nothing physical. But hey, in general, it is mental work that more people shun than any other thing. At least that is the way it is for the ninety or ninety-five percent that live less than ideal lives.

Don't you want to move up to the other five to ten percent?

I want YOU to succeed!!

How many times will you say Thank You today?

You’ve probably heard it a million times: Your thoughts create your experience. Well, maybe not a million times, but then again… Anyway, thoughts are the activity of the brain, and the result is the manifestation of vibrations of energy that are based on those thoughts in relation to your current beliefs.

When your thoughts are of a positive nature, and your beliefs are in congruence with those thoughts, the energy you manifest is harmonious. You feel good! Well, I don’t think I need to explain the opposite, do I?

Gratitude is a powerful feeling. Wouldn’t you agree? Actually gratitude ranks right up there with love as far as its power. Gratitude is the feeling of being blessed by the connection you have with another living being, an idea, or feeling. Gratitude is that feeling of being connected.

I’ve been giving gratitude a great deal of thought recently. And it is amazing all of the examples I’ve noted that I’m not the only one. It seems like the moment I decided to give the idea of gratitude more of my conscious focus, I began to hear others using it more, Seeing it written about, and of course, I’ve never felt more inclined to express it in my own life experiences. Thank you!

Gratitude can truly be contagious. And like any force, when it is expended, there is an automatic response. You’ve heard the law, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Think giving someone a sincere heartfelt thanks will not get a positive reaction out of them? Try it.

In fact, that is what I’d like to challenge you with today. If it is the end of your day when you are reading this, be sure to pick it up again tomorrow. Actually it is a challenge you should look to completing everyday. But for the sake of going easy on you, in case you’re not the most grateful character, I will just say the one day challenge.

What is the challenge? Be grateful! Not only be grateful, but I want you to show it at every opportunity you have. Say thank you to everybody you meet today, and really mean it. It shouldn’t be too hard to find something to be grateful about with every person you meet today. And I don’t just want you to show your gratitude through your words.

Do kind things, just because. Go out of your way to help somebody. I’m not talking just for your friends, family, and coworkers. I want you to be especially on the look out for ways you can do something wonderful for a stranger.

A good friend of mine was sharing an experience the other day about talking with a bank teller (I believe it was). The bank teller seemed to be deep into reading or studying a book when my friend first approached. During her business dealings, my friend somehow managed to discover the teller’s favorite candy bar. When she finished her business, she left, went straight to the nearest store, and she bought his favorite candy bar. She then returned to the bank and gave it to him! Wow!!!

That really made his day. Talk about being an unexpected act of kindness. This is all I’m asking of you today. Show your gratitude, and show it by exhibiting unexpected acts of kindness. You will be amazed at the newfound energy that comes your way. Enjoy it, and be sure to feel very grateful!

Smile,
